Short answer: find your passport in the three groups below. Group A (21 nationalities) needs a visa. Group B pays nothing. Everyone else enters visa-free for up to 90 days but must buy the Entry Fee voucher (USD 50 / EUR 50 plus a USD 8 / EUR 8 service fee, per entry) at https://suriname.vfsevisa.com before flying, and show it at the airline check-in desk. Everyone else: visa-free, Entry Fee required
This is the Netherlands, the rest of the EU, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Guyana and French Guiana's French passport holders, and every nationality not in Group A. The rules that apply:

Suriname entry requirements: visa, e-tourist card and entry fee
Suriname's entry formalities are handled entirely online through the government's authorised e-visa portal, which issues visas, e-tourist cards and the entry-fee voucher travellers must show at airline check-in. Most nationalities may enter visa-free for tourism or family visits for up to 90 days but still pay a per-entry fee.
Three things this table will not do
It will not stay current by itself. The list of 21 was set on 1 May 2023 and the fee changed on 15 May 2024 and again (multiple-entry) on 1 May 2025. This page is a transcription of what the ministry said on 24 August 2026. The ministry's page is the authority; a table on a travel site, including this one, is not.
It will not tell you about yellow fever. Health requirements are separate from entry requirements and the airport's visa page carries no health section. TravelHealthPro's rule, quoted in is Suriname safe and healthy to visit, applies to arrivals from countries with yellow fever transmission risk.
It will not protect you from look-alike sites. Suriname's online entry documents attract commercial sites charging a markup for the same form. Type the VFS address; do not follow an advert.
