Choi's is a Surinamese supermarket chain founded in 1982 by Yuk Kau Choi and still run by the family. For a visitor the useful branches are Choi's Noord at Twee Kinderenweg 99 in Blauwgrond, in the north of the city, and Choi's Zuid at Johannes Mungrastraat 17; there is a third branch in Lelydorp on the road to the airport.

Published hours for the Noord and Lelydorp branches are Monday to Saturday 08:00–20:00 and Sunday 15:00–20:00. We could not confirm hours for the Zuid branch. The range is a full supermarket, food and non-food, with imported brands alongside Surinamese products, which makes it the practical stop for self-catering apartments and longer stays.
