Digicel is the operator to look at if you want connectivity arranged before you arrive. Unlike Telesur, it sells a tourist product: a 30-day eSIM in three tiers, priced on 21 August 2026 at SRD 400 for 5 GB, SRD 600 for 10 GB and SRD 800 for 15 GB, activated through the MyDigicel app.

There is also a physical preloaded prepaid SIM sold as SIM-to-GO at SRD 750, available through ordinary retailers including petrol stations and pharmacies — useful because it does not require finding a phone shop. Standard prepaid plans run alongside, with a 30-day 30 GB option at SRD 950 on the same date.

The catch is the currency. These are Surinamese dollar prices, so buying the eSIM still needs either local currency or a card the app will accept, and we have not been able to confirm which foreign cards work. Prices in SRD move; treat all of the above as a snapshot of 21 August 2026.
