Garden of Eden is a Thai restaurant at Virolastraat 61 in Uitvlugt, and it is one of very few kitchens in Paramaribo cooking a cuisine that is neither Surinamese, Chinese nor Indian. Its own site describes dishes built on the five classic Thai flavours and sums the place up as being for, in its words, "culinary pleasure and oriental leisure".

It is an evening restaurant and nothing else: Monday to Saturday, 18:00 to 22:00, closed on Sunday. Reservations on (597) 499448 or WhatsApp (597) 7444007.

Listings elsewhere add a garden setting, Thai chefs and an extensive vegetarian and vegan range. We have not repeated those claims. The only things the restaurant states itself are the address, the hours and the cuisine, and in a city where restaurant descriptions are copied from aggregator to aggregator, the primary source is the one worth printing.
