Roline's de Waag occupies De Waag, the old weigh house at Waterkant 5, where the riverside boulevard begins. The building is the draw: it is one of the landmarks of the Waterkant frontage inside the UNESCO-inscribed inner city, and the terrace looks out over the Suriname River.
The kitchen serves Surinamese dishes alongside international and grill items. Directory listings describe it as a lunch and dinner restaurant.
Two caveats. First, De Waag has housed several restaurants over the years, and the current tenancy appears to be recent — if you have an older recommendation for this address, it may not be for this operation. Second, we could not confirm opening hours from any source we could read: the restaurant's listings on the platforms that carry them refuse automated checks. Ring ahead. Details re-checked 21 August 2026.
