Roti Shop Joosje is on the Zwartenhovenbrugstraat in the centre, at number 9. Grand Roopram is on the same street at number 23.
It describes itself as a Surinaams Hindoestaans restaurant. That format matters when you order: the roti bread arrives beside the curry rather than wrapped around it, the meat comes on the bone, and curried potato comes with it.
It is closed from 6 to 20 September 2026 for its annual company holiday, which it announced on its own page on 3 September. This note comes down after the 20th.
Hours the rest of the year are Monday to Saturday, eight in the morning to eight at night, closed Sunday. Two independent sources give the same figures, though the business does not publish them itself.
One source read in March 2026 put a roti at around SRD 150. Older articles quote prices from 2016 that are long obsolete; we have not carried them over.
Twenty-nine verified places to eat and drink, in one table: which kitchen, which part of town, when they are open, and what we could not confirm. Use it to plan a day of eating rather than a single meal.
