De Surinaamsche Bank is one of the country's main commercial banks, reachable on (+597) 471100, with internet banking at my.dsb.sr and a mobile app. Its SWIFT/BIC code is SURBSRPA.
The reason a visitor should bookmark dsb.sr is the exchange-rate board on its front page. It publishes daily buying and selling rates for the US dollar and the euro against the Surinamese dollar — on 17 August 2026, for example, USD at 37.26 buy and 38.02 sell, EUR at 43.20 and 44.08. That gives you a reference for what a fair rate looks like before you change cash anywhere else, which is a genuinely useful thing to have in a country where the currency has moved a great deal.
We do not print a head office address. The bank's own contact page returns a 404, and the addresses circulating in third-party directories are not confirmed by any official page. Branch locations, ATM locations, opening hours and whether counters change cash for non-customers are all similarly unverified.
