Republic Bank Suriname is the local arm of the Caribbean Republic Bank group, and for a visitor it answers the question this site could not answer when it launched: which ATM will take a foreign card.
Explore Suriname's ATM guide states that Republic Bank machines accept both international Visa and Mastercard and recommends them as the first choice, with a daily ceiling of SRD 20,000 — well above the SRD 10,000 at DSB and Hakrinbank, or the SRD 4,000 at VCB. That does not make it free: since 1 August 2026 a cash withdrawal costs SRD 17.60 including VAT at any BNETS, Cashpnt or bank machine in the country, and a balance enquiry SRD 1.10.
Republic Bank's own site confirms it operates branches and ATMs across Suriname and issues Visa and Mastercard products. It does not publish the foreign-card rules; those come from the guide, not from the bank, and that distinction is why this page cites both.
Test your own card on arrival rather than assuming. The full picture is in our money guide.
