Checked on 21 August 2026, the catalogue's own price filter ran from about EUR 27 for the shortest excursions to about EUR 3,561 for the longest programmes, with minimum group sizes of two to six depending on the tour. That range is the useful thing here: it shows how quickly the cost curve rises once you leave the coastal strip.

Guiana dolphins live in the Suriname River estuary between Leonsberg and Braamspunt, twenty minutes by boat from the city. Six operators sell an afternoon trip from EUR 27.50 to EUR 60, leaving around 16:00 and back after sunset. Sightings are never guaranteed.

The ruins of a seventeenth-century Jewish plantation settlement on the Suriname River, about 50 km south of Paramaribo, inscribed as Suriname's third World Heritage property, and second cultural one, in 2023.
