METS is the operator to talk to if the interior is why you came to Suriname. Unlike the agencies that resell other people's programmes, it runs its own jungle lodges — Awarradam and Palumeu, plus the Kasikasima base camp — with the Maroon and indigenous communities whose land they sit on. Its office is at Anton Drachtenweg 7, Paramaribo, on +597 473 802, with a round-the-clock line for people already upriver.
Prices on its own site on 21 August 2026 started at about EUR 425 for a four-to-five-day Awarradam programme, EUR 665 for Palumeu and EUR 808 for the five-to-eight-day Kasikasima expedition. Those are starting prices in euros and will move.
The Surinamese government reported METS making a successful restart after a period of disruption — most likely the post-2020 collapse in travel — and the live pricing on its site is consistent with it trading normally again.
